A Cthulhu Crush Production
From Variety covering American Film Market in Santa Monica last week:
DIRECTOR HIRED
Cthulhu Crush Productions has hired filmmaker Lisa Ovies to direct horror-comedy “Beverly Hills Lizard People,” Variety has learned exclusively.
Written by Cthulu Crush’s Jody Wheeler, “Beverly Hills Lizard People” is described as a mix of “Slither” and “Scream,” and tells of an ancient race of shape-shifting Lizard People from the depths of the Earth who return to the surface to reclaim what was once theirs: Beverly Hills.
Wheeler and Steve Parker produce for Cthulhu Crush Productions alongside I No.Films. Ovies’ credits include “Puppet Killer” and “Taking My Parents to Burning Man,” which won audience awards at the Sonoma International Film Festival, the Newport Beach Film Festival and the Maui Film Festival.
The deal was announced at the American Film Market. Ovies is represented by Moving Pictures Talent & Entertainment Group.

And here’s still more information about the film!
Cthulhu Crush Productions have announced development on new horror-comedy BEVERLY HILLS LIZARD PEOPLE, with filming to begin in the New Year.
Produced by the shingle’s Jody Wheeler and Steve Parker, whose upcoming horror feature WTF! will be released shortly, it’s inspired by the legend that Lizard People live under the ground in Los Angeles (as reported in the papers in 1944!)… not to mention rule the world!
Fashioned in a similar tone to Slither and Scream, Beverly Hills LIZARD PEOPLE will tell of an ancient race of shape-shifting Lizard People from the depths of the Earth who return to the surface to reclaim what was once theirs: Beverly Hills.
Project is scripted by Wheeler.
Official Synopsis
Disturbed from their ancient slumber by the excavation of a cross-town subway, the ancient reptilian masters of a faded empire strike out to reclaim what was once theirs: Beverly Hills.
Ground zero for their invasion? A once popular, though now faded, hotel, currently the site of a reality TV cooking show competition, and directly overhead of their secret city. Can the collection of unlikely contestants – ambitious, backstabbing, and determined – stop the shape-shifting Terrors From Below below before the reptilian ravagers achieve their goal of conquering first Beverly Hills and then the world?

WTF is currently in post production. The blood will flow later this year. Until then, here’s a list of benefits for why your next Spring Break should be a horror film.
1. You never get hung over – You’re never still alive the next morning.
2. “Experimenting” with friends is OK – You have to both still be living for things to get awkward.
3. Spend as much $$$ as you want partying it up – You’ll be long dead before the credit card bill arrives.
4. You can make your trip as long as you want – It’ll likely last forever – because you won’t survive.
5. You don’t have to worry about using protection during sex – You won’t be alive long enough to contract anything.
6. You can eat whatever you want – You’ll lose a bunch of weight after your head is cut off.
7. It’s forgivable to cheat – Dead boyfriends and girlfriends don’t hold grudges.
8. You can take drugs without fear of long-term consequences – Acid flashbacks aren’t a problem for corpses.
9. You can cut loose and dance like there’s no tomorrow – There is no tomorrow.
10. Your Spring Break bash will be to die for – Literally. You and all your friends are going to die.
Check out this collection of stills from the set of WTF!, the new horror film from Cthulhu Crush Productions. There’s blood. There’s boobs. There’s more blood. And there’s…other stuff. Horror is fun.
