Three years ago, twenty-two year old “girl-next door” Rachel barely survived a brutal massacre that left all of her friends murdered. Time has passed, and Rachel has moved on, but unfortunately for her, her close friends have decided to spend Spring Break in a secluded house in the woods, one with far too many reminders of her past terror.
Once Rachel and her friends arrive, the partying, sex, and terror begins. From girls only pillow fights to debauchery in the bedroom, the typical weekend away should be enough fun… but someone has decided decapitation, flesh melting, and castration are also on the weekend playlist.
Rachels past, present, and future intersect as, one by one, her friends die off. But with time — and friends — running out, can Rachel survive the killer and live to post about it on Facebook?
WeAreIndieHorror.com:
“Most films wait for a sequel to bring the survivor back to the scene of whatever brutality happened to them and their friends, but Herro takes that approach differently. Most stories don’t really start or end, rather the filmmaker decides on what part of the story to focus the film on. This story, co-written by Herro, Christopher Centanni and Adam Buchalter is, in a way, the first of it’s kind. This creative writing team has created a myth, a legend of what happened previously, and throws in a character who has already been through this traumatic experience. Imagine if Scream 2 was actually the first film in the series. With the previous knowledge and experiences, it throws a shift in the generic slasher movie psychosis, and leaves us, the viewers, with something both interesting and unique.”
